Ask a question in plain English and it returns relevant research records, grouped by recorded study type or design (T1–T4).

Is Pulse Brain Search free?

Yes. Searching, filtering and reading the study results is free and needs no account. Only AI-written evidence reports are paid: your first report is free when you sign up with a work email, then each report uses one token.

How much does a Pulse Brain report cost?

After the free first report, reports are pay-as-you-go: £10 for one report, £42.50 for 5 or £49 for 10, all plus VAT. Tokens never expire and work for both Pulse Brain reports and Pulse Claims Check.

What do the evidence tiers T1 to T4 mean?

Tiers group records by recorded study type or design: T1 recognised syntheses such as systematic reviews and meta-analyses; T2 controlled trials or recognised causal-design labels; T3 observational, cohort, field-trial and other recognised designs; T4 narrative, commentary and recognised non-empirical types. Unknown designs remain untiered. These labels do not independently confirm methodological quality or causal validity.

Where does the evidence come from?

The catalogue is built from peer-reviewed research and grey literature, enriched with summaries, claims, citation counts and retraction checks, and refreshed continuously. Every result links to its source paper or DOI so you can check it.

Is there an API?

Yes. The same catalogue is available through the Pulse Brain Evidence API at /evidence/api/ — anonymous use is rate-limited, and a free Researcher key raises the limit.
