Acceptance of these terms

By using vitagri.org or any Vitagri service — including the Pulse member workshop and the Pulse Check tool — you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

These terms work alongside our Privacy Policy and Anti-Spam Policy, which form part of your agreement with us.

1. What Vitagri provides

Vitagri publishes research summaries, a curated evidence catalogue and analysis tools for informational and educational purposes. It is intended to help you understand and explore the published evidence on food, soil and human health.

Nothing on Vitagri is medical, nutritional, agronomic, financial or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Decisions you take, and any reliance you place on the material, remain your responsibility.

2. Your account

Some features (such as the Pulse member workshop and Research Partner programme) require an account. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since we use one-time magic-link sign-in. Do not share sign-in links.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us via the contact page. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

3. Acceptable use

When using Vitagri you agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable regulation;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service or its infrastructure;
  • scrape, bulk-download or systematically extract the evidence catalogue or other content without our prior written permission;
  • misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use another person's account; or
  • upload or submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share.

4. Intellectual property

The Vitagri name, branding, site design, written analysis and compiled catalogue are owned by Vitagri Org Ltd or its licensors. Cited third-party research, data and quotations remain the property of their respective publishers and authors.

You may share links to Vitagri pages and quote brief extracts with clear attribution to Vitagri and a link back to the source. Any other reproduction or commercial reuse requires our prior written permission.

5. Third-party links and research

Vitagri links to external research, journals, datasets and websites that we do not control. We provide these links for reference and do not endorse, and are not responsible for, the content, accuracy or availability of third-party sites. Following an external link is at your own risk and subject to that site's own terms.

6. No warranty

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we work to keep the evidence catalogue accurate and current, we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular result, citation or analysis is complete or fit for a specific purpose. Research evidence evolves, and summaries are necessarily simplifications of the underlying studies.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vitagri Org Ltd is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or any content on it, including indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version, and material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 14 days. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.

9. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from use of the service, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
